Techton Building Services was created in 2008 when staff from two local Ballina businesses (Nowlan Bryant Building Surveyors and Childcare Systems Australia) joined forces.

Nowlan Bryant Building Surveyors commenced operations in July 2000 and were a firm of Nationally Accredited Building Surveyors who offered a range of services to the construction industry with particular expertise in the following areas:

• Building Code of Australia Assessment
• Accredited Certifiers & Principal Certifying Authorities
• Project Management – Superintendent’s representative
• Government Liaison
• Building Inspections, Regulations and Reports
• Upgrading Reports and Fire Safety Measures

Childcare Systems Australia (CSA) was established in 2001 to provide management services to childcare centres owned and operated by The Learning Tree Group (at one time managing 22 childcare centres across NSW).

From 2003 to 2008 CSA’s focus was on the acquisition of child care centre sites and the development of child care centres on these sites for ABC Learning. CSA were responsible for the project management of all aspects of the development of each childcare centre. This included:

• The acquisition of suitable childcare centre development sites
• Co-ordinating all necessary approvals for developments (e.g. Council, Rural Fire Service, RTA, all service providers etc)
• Construction and contract management services
